I am a trauma-informed therapist that specializes supporting healing from trauma, depression, and perinatal and postpartum mental health. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs. Whether you’re navigating the effects of past trauma and PTSD symptoms, pregnancy-related stress, postpartum mood changes, or the complex transition into parenthood, we can work together to map out a plan to get you back to feeling like “you” again.

Welcome!

Hi, I’m Lauren!

I am a seasoned licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist, that currently provides virtual therapy sessions throughout California and New York.

I have held many roles in my clinical career that have shaped my understanding of the mental health field. Early years included working with youth struggling with experiences of trauma and abuse, which aided in development of my patience and compassion. I transitioned to leadership roles for nonprofits in the CA Bay Area to experience growth in my advocacy skills and understanding of how the mental health system functions. Through my senior leadership roles, I grew programs that supported access to mental health services for many at risk populations of adults and youth. Over the past few years, I’ve returned to my roots of working directly with clients and utilizing my strengths and skills to deliver high quality therapy services in a private practice setting.

My clinical work most recently has been focused on supporting clients that are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma responses, and perinatal mental health concerns. My methods for therapy includes use of evidence-based models such as CBT, TF-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Art Therapy.

As a mother of three, I realized there is a deficit in available support for mothers and their mental health, and decided to grow my clinical skills and add to that support system.

Offering virtual (Telehealth) therapy has allowed many new or expecting mothers to attend therapy without adding more to an already full plate. Telehealth also supports flexibility for busy professionals to carve out time from a tight schedule to focus on their mental health.

I utilize humor and authenticity to build rapport and establish a safe therapeutic space to explore what goals for therapy may look like.
